About me

I am deeply committed to my work and strive to offer a warm, compassionate, and non‑judgmental space where we can explore your experiences together, understand your difficulties, and process your thoughts and feelings.

I am registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and accredited as a Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist with the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP).

I have over seven years of experience working within NHS mental health services and provide therapy to adults experiencing a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties, including but not limited to anxiety, panic attacks, depression, OCD, PTSD, trauma, health anxiety, trichotillomania, low self-esteem, attachment/relational difficulties, and work‑related stress.

I work in an integrative, client‑centred, evidence-based way, drawing primarily on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and incorporating techniques from Exposure Response Prevention Therapy (ERP), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), systemic approaches, and trauma‑informed Mentalisation‑Based Therapy (MBT).

I am passionate about tailoring therapy to meet the unique needs and goals of each individual, including adapting my approach to support neurodivergent ways of thinking, processing, and communicating.

At the heart of my approach is a strong emphasis on building a collaborative and culturally sensitive therapeutic relationship. I am committed to providing a safe space where you feel genuinely heard, valued, and empowered to develop meaningful change.

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BABCP
British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP)

The BABCP is the lead organisation for Cognitive Behavioural Therapy in the UK. Membership is open to anyone with an interest in the practice, theory or development of CBT. BABCP also provides accreditation for CBT therapists. BABCP accredited members adhere to the Standards of Conduct, Performance and Ethics in the Practice of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies, and are willing to be scrutinised in this adherence as required.

HCPC
Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.

They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.

Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
