About me
Reaching out for support can feel daunting, but you’re not expected to have everything figured out.
Hi, I’m Nela. I’m an integrative psychotherapist who works with people who feel overwhelmed, disconnected from their bodies, struggle to express their feelings, or feel unsure about how past experiences are shaping their present.
If you find yourself:
- Overwhelmed.
- Feeling on edge, tense, or exhausted.
- Feeling numb, disconnected, or ‘not really here’.
- Finding it hard to feel safe, even when you logically know you are.
- Carrying a sense of shame that doesn’t feel like it belongs to you.
- Struggling to trust people or your own reactions.
You don’t have to make sense of this on your own.
My approach is relational and paced. I work with both emotional and physical experiences to pay attention to how trauma lives in the body as well as the mind. I have experience working with clients who have experienced sexual abuse and domestic violence. I offer an affirming and inclusive space and work with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds, including LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent clients, bringing my lived experience of neurodivergence to my work. I work with adults (18+) and offer therapy in both English and Polish.
Therapy doesn’t require you to talk about anything before you’re ready. We move at a pace that feels manageable, with attention to safety, boundaries, and choice.
You don’t need to have the right words or a clear goal to begin. We start from where you are. Getting in touch is often a significant step that takes a lot of courage, especially if you’re used to managing on your own. When you’re ready to take that first step, you can contact me to book a free 30-minute session - a chance for us to talk things through and see if we’re a good match.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Additional information
I offer a free online 30-minute session for you to see if I am the right therapist for you. When you get in touch, we can arrange a convenient time for us to meet. The free 30-minute call is a no-obligation space for us to connect and see whether working together feels right for you. There is no pressure to commit to therapy - it’s simply a chance to ask questions, share what you’re looking for, and decide if I’m the right fit. If working together feels right for you, we can look at available times and book your first session when you’re ready.
