About me
Have you ever found yourself lying awake at night wondering...
- "Why do I feel so overwhelmed when everyone thinks I'm coping?"
- "Why does choosing myself make me feel so guilty?"
- "How do I stop living for everyone else's expectations?"
If these thoughts feel familiar, you're not alone and are in the right place.
Who I work with
I support South Asian women, who come to therapy feeling disconnected, withdrawn, anxious, emotionally exhausted, or unsure of who they are outside of the roles they've always played. You may struggle with people-pleasing, setting boundaries, overthinking, low confidence, or feeling guilty for wanting something different for yourself. Whether you're navigating a career change, marriage, motherhood, relationships, or another life transition, therapy offers you a space where you don't have to keep carrying it all on your own.
Together, we'll explore what's holding you back, make sense of the thoughts and emotions that feel overwhelming, and help you reconnect with yourself, your values, and your ambitions.
My aim is to help you feel more confident in your decisions, create healthier boundaries without overwhelming guilt, and build a life that feels authentic to you—one where you can honour both your cultural identity and your own needs.
Training, qualifications & experience
Working with me
As a psychotherapist from a South Asian background, I understand the specific textures of family dynamics, the identity tensions, the things that are difficult to name, let alone explain to someone who hasn't lived them. You won't need to justify yourself here or translate your experience into language that makes sense to someone else. I'll understand the context.
That said, therapy with me isn't about rejecting where you come from. It's about gently examining the patterns the people-pleasing, the over-functioning, the learned smallness that once helped you survive or belong, and asking whether they still serve you now.
Together, we can:
- Make sense of your thoughts and emotional patterns
- Understand how family, culture or past experiences have shaped you
- Recognise survival strategies that no longer serve you
- Reconnect with parts of yourself that feel lost or unheard
- Move forward with greater clarity, self-trust and confidence.

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society This Not For Profit association of counsellors and psychotherapists aim to support the counselling profession, members and training organisations. In 2013 the NCS register was accredited by the Professional Standards Authority under the Accredited Voluntary Register Scheme. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
