About me
Hi, my name is Nathan i am a BACP registered counsellor offering warm, client-led support tailored to your individual needs. My approach is person-centred at its core, drawing on elements of CBT and psychoanalytic thinking to help you explore what’s going on beneath the surface, at a pace that feels right for you.
I provide general counselling and have several years’ experience supporting people through bereavement. I’m trained to Level 4 in counselling skills and work in a trauma-informed way, always aiming to create a safe, respectful space where you can talk openly, reflect deeply, and begin to move forward.
In today’s fast-paced, polarized environment, many feel unable to express their true opinions, even with friends and family. This often leads to frustration, anxiety, and isolation. Counselling offers a confidential space to discuss unspoken feelings and relieve built-up tension.
Sometimes a chat with a friend or a quiet walk is enough to ease what’s troubling us — and sometimes it isn’t. When things feel heavier or harder to shift, counselling can offer a space to be heard and supported.
- I offer in-person, over the phone, and video sessions.
- I charge £45 per session .
The sessions are a safe open honest space to explore the things that are holding you back from achieving the peace of mind you desire. This a place to unburden and unpack those things that are weighing you down or holding you back.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
Throughout my life, I have often found myself as the person people turn to when they need to talk - whether they are close friends, colleagues or strangers met in a pub. My own life experiences, coupled with a deep sense of empathetic curiosity, naturally led me to pursue a career in counselling. I have come to understand just how transformative a single conversation can be. Sometimes, one session is all it takes; simply voicing the weight you have been carrying can make your burdens feel lighter and more manageable.
