About me
Hello and welcome to my profile page.🌿🙏🌿
If you struggling with eating and body image issues I know I can help . Recognising you need help is also a huge step !
Perhaps you are overwhelmed with life with an eating disoder and need support or perhaps you don't feel ready to change just yet ( thats okay too... )
I'm sure you are used to being told what to do by others . You dont need me to tell you what to do but I can tell you what I offer :
I offer a supportive listening space whilst also helping you manage your symtoms. I offer a range of evidence based options for treatment including :
CBT -E , MANTRA and SSCM and I'm happy to discuss these approaches with you to see what is the best fit.
I can also reassure you that I am a BABCP-accredited CBT therapist with 12 yrs plus experience in NHS eating disorders services . CBT-E is designed specificly for eating disorders and is effective and well researched .It can help you overcome your difficulties, make lasting change and ultimately live a life free of food noise and shape and weight anxiety.
I currently work 4 days a week within an NHS Eating Disorder service and can offer you the most up-to-date and evidence-based approaches in ED therapy and also tailor that approach to your needs .
I love to work creatively to solve your difficulties and I will see you as a person and not just 'an eating disorder '.
I'm compassionate, warm and a little bit quirky . Also very willing and able to tell you the truth and to push you when and if thats needed.
Just so you know I have a special interest in complex trauma , neurodiversity and women's health, and have extensive experience working with people with complex physical health needs, as well as Adhd/Autism, BPD, depression, Social anxiety and GAD.
I offer a free 20-minute consultation to discuss your needs and see if you feel the fit is right for you.
I currently work Thurdays and weekends.
I use a sliding scale of £80 to £120 pounds an hour for 1:1 CBT - E sessions ( 50 minutes ) depending on what you can afford and wether we meet online or face to face.
