About me

I'm Natalie Lowry, an HCPC-registered Health Psychologist and founder of Health Psychology Daily. I offer evidence-based psychological support to help people navigate health-related challenges, improve their wellbeing and make meaningful, sustainable changes in their lives.

Our physical health and psychological wellbeing are closely connected. Living with a health condition, experiencing changes in our bodies, or trying to change long-standing habits can affect how we feel, think and cope day to day. You may feel overwhelmed, stuck in familiar patterns, or unsure how to move forward. You don't have to navigate these challenges alone.

My areas of interest include women's health and menopause, health behaviour change, addiction and recovery, and the psychological impact of physical health difficulties. I aim to understand each person's individual circumstances and tailor our work to their needs, values and goals.

My approach is compassionate, collaborative and grounded in psychological evidence. Drawing on approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT) and Motivational Interviewing, I can help you explore patterns, develop coping strategies and work towards changes that feel realistic and achievable.

I understand that reaching out for psychological support can feel like a big step. I aim to offer a warm, non-judgemental space where you can feel heard, understood and supported.

I offer online consultations across the UK and in-person appointments in Central and South London. If you'd like to explore whether working together might be helpful, you're welcome to get in touch.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am an HCPC-registered Health Psychologist with postgraduate qualifications in Health Psychology and Addiction Studies, alongside an undergraduate degree in Psychology. I completed the British Psychological Society's Qualification in Health Psychology (Stage 2) in June 2026.

My professional experience includes working in health psychology, addiction research and psychological support services. I have experience within community drug and alcohol services and have undertaken a placement with South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust, including work connected with a menopause group.

Alongside my clinical training, I have several years of experience in academic research at King's College London, focusing on addiction treatment, patient experiences, quality of life and the wider social factors that influence health outcomes. I have contributed to peer-reviewed publications and have experience in higher education teaching, including co-leading a postgraduate psychopharmacology module.

My clinical interests include women's health and menopause, health behaviour change, addiction and recovery, and the psychological impact of physical health difficulties. I draw on evidence-based psychological approaches and aim to provide support that is compassionate, collaborative and tailored to each person's individual circumstances.

My combined clinical and research background informs my commitment to providing thoughtful, evidence-based and person-centred psychological support.

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a Counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the Counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.
