About me

Trading as Safe Place to Land Counselling, I offer you a space to feel heard, understood and supported.

Life can sometimes feel overwhelming. We may find ourselves navigating difficult emotions, challenging relationships or significant life changes. This could leave us feeling lost, uncertain or disconnected from ourselves. Sometimes, we simply need a space to pause, make sense of our experiences and feel heard.

As an integrative counsellor, I am able to draw on three different principles of counselling in order to best tailor sessions to an individual. My natural leaning is towards a person-centred approach, which means I support a client to set their agenda and respond with empathy and encouragement, providing a safe space for reflection and self-growth.

If you're looking for a warm, non-judgemental environment to share your experience and feel supported, ring or email for a free telephone consultation.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have trained with both the BACP and NCPS, which has built both a strong foundation for empathic understanding and collaborative working.

I have achieved a professional diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling Practice.

I draw on person centred, psychodynamic and CBT theory to inform my practice and have worked with a number of presenting issues, not limited to:

  • Anxiety and worry - persistent worrying, overthinking, feelings of overwhelm and difficulty in switching off,
  • Low self-esteem and confidence - struggling with self-worth, self- doubt, self-criticism, or feeling not good enough
  • Stress and overwhelm - navigating pressures at work, home or in personal life
  • Relationship difficulties - exploring communication, boundaries, conflict, attachment patterns or relationship breakdowns
  • Life transitions and change - coping with major life events, uncertainty, changing roles or finding a new sense of direction
  • Grief and loss - processing bereavement, significant endings and other experiences of loss
  • Emotional difficulties - understanding difficult feelings, recognising emotional patterns and developing greater self-awareness
  • People pleasing and boundary setting - finding it difficult to say no, prioritising others' needs or feeling responsible for other people's emotions
  • Identity and self discover - exploring personal values, needs, identity and what feels meaningful
  • Feeling stuck or disconnected - struggling to understand what is wrong, feeling unfulfilled or wanting to make changes but not knowing where to begin
  • Faith, identity and spirituality - exploring your personal beliefs, navigating religious expectations and developing an authentic relationship with your faith that reflects your own values and experiences
  • Carers and caring responsibilities - exploring the associated physical and emotional exhaustion, stress, feelings of guilt and a sense of losing touch with your own needs. Acknowledgement and non-judgemental exploration of justified feelings, enabling a safer internal narrative.
