About me
With over 25 years of experience as a psychotherapist and somatic specialist, I understand why we react the way we do, why certain situations trigger us, and why it can feel so hard to respond differently, even when we're trying so hard. My work focuses on helping you understand the patterns beneath your reactions, make sense of what's happening in your body and nervous system, and find new ways of responding that feel more natural and sustainable. Together, we work towards greater emotional resilience, deeper self-understanding, and more ease in your relationships and everyday life.
My approach combines understanding with practical, body-based work to help you reduce your triggers in real time. Rather than simply talking about what's happening, we work directly with your body's responses as they arise, helping you lessen the intensity of your triggers and reduce anxiety in ways you can recognise and measure. The aim is to help you experience a tangible difference in how you feel and respond, not just understand why you feel the way you do.
I work exclusively online.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
I’m also the host of The 3 Minute Pause Podcast, where I share my passion for helping people understand themselves, their emotional triggers, and the patterns that shape how they respond to life. Through my work as a psychotherapist and somatic specialist, I’m particularly passionate about helping people move beyond simply understanding their difficulties to experiencing meaningful change in how they feel in their bodies, navigate their emotions, and relate to others. My podcast reflects this belief: that when we learn to pause, listen to our bodies, and understand what’s happening beneath our reactions, we can create more choice in how we live, love, and connect with the people around us.
