About me
I am qualified counsellor/psychotherapist with over 14 years of practice in working with a diverse range of people from a wide range of backgrounds, experiencing a range of various life difficulties.
I truly believe that we are all unique and therefore we are the experts on ourselves. I believe we can all be trusted to find our own way through our problems, anxieties and life crises if we are listened by the therapist empathically, non-judgementally, with person centre approach.
The type of therapy I offer is known as Person-Centred. Person-Centred Approach was founded by Carl Rogers and belongs to the humanistic school of therapy which emphasis personal growth. The personal growth is allowed by one of the important element of my counselling philosophy, which is therapeutic relationship with you (the client) and me (the therapist). In this relationship we are "fellow travellers" meaning that you are an expert of yourself by allowing me to enter your world. As Rogers said and I truly believe that "it is the client who knows what hurts, what directions to go, what problems are crucial, what experiences have been deeply buried." - from On Becoming a Person, Rogers, 1961.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
