About me

Hi, I’m Mim (she/her).

If you are currently dealing with anxiety, depression, low self esteem, low confidence or family issues, I can help you process your feelings and find practical ways of coping with your current situation. You might feel stuck or overwhelmed but therapy/counselling can help you make sense of what you are going through and feel seen and supported - you are not alone.

  • Please do contact me and we can talk through your situation and think about ways in which I can help you.

I currently work online either through zoom or google meet.

How I work

I use an integrative approach to therapy - all this means is that we all process and learn about ourselves in different ways, which means we are not robots! So therapy isn't a one size fits all. Therefore we can think about different ways of approaching your situation and your feelings and see what resonates best with you.

Some of those techniques are

  • Psychodynamic Psychotherapy,
  • Person-Centred,
  • Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)
  • Mindfulness.

If you have any questions at all please do email or call me on mim@mimcounselling.com or 07726459777

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Additional information

Initial phone call

I offer an initial phone consultation for 30 minutes at £30. This gives us a chance to talk about your current situation, for you to ask questions and for us to see what it would be like to work together.

We also discuss the boundaries of therapy and what you can expect from working with me. You are under no obligation to work with me - you need to feel comfortable and safe, so its ok to take your time choosing the therapist you feel is right for you.

Cost of weekly counselling:

Sessions cost £60 for a weekly 50 minute session.

Sessions are currently online, from Monday to Friday (morning-evening sessions are available). This usually means we have a set day and time we meet each week, but we can have a more flexible schedule if that works better for you.

If you have any questions please contact me.
