About me

I am Psychosexual and Relationship Therapist, and Clinical Director of The Therapy Yard - www.thetherapyyard.co.uk. We specialise in relationships and psychosexual therapy and pride ourselves on a modern, diverse, forward-thinking and passionate team consisting of Relationship and Psychosexual Therapists and Counselling Psychologists. We have undertaken contemporary trainings to offer a pluralistic approach with up to date knowledge and effective tools, while offering a warm, empathic space for you to explore your feelings, situation and work collaboratively on your goals.

Valuing each person as the individual they are is at the heart of our values. Our ethos is sex positive and inclusive of all including gender, sexual and relationship diversity (GSRD + LGBTQIA+), neurodiversity, cultural, ethnic and religious diversity. We understand that accessing therapy can be daunting and offer a compassionate and professional team who will help you find the right therapist for you.

I am an Accredited Relationship and Psychosexual (Sex) Therapist within the practice. In addition to my clinical work, I am a Clinical Supervisor and a visiting lecturer on an Advanced Diploma in Relationship Therapy. I am an expert advisor for Issviva Menopause and am a media contributor and advisor for newspaper, magazine, radio, podcasts and TV on sex and relationships. You can find out more about me and my work at www.mirandachristophers.co.uk.

I am extremely passionate about my work and helping my clients to overcome their difficulties and gain confidence as they do. I offer confidential, non-judgemental support for individuals and couples using an integrative approach. We work at your pace to understand and overcome your difficulties. Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
