About me
Hey there! I'm Millie, a therapist providing support throughout Loughborough from Rempstone at my home practice, and in Leicester from Sunrise Wellbeing in Groby. My passion is helping people manage their mental health so they can navigate everyday life with confidence. I use techniques from cognitive behaviour therapy, have a person-centred approach and an understanding of attachment theory that will guide our work together. I truly believe that therapy is for everyone and can be a wonderful tool on your journey to becoming a more self-assured and empowered version of yourself.
Many of us experience moments of stress or anxiety in our lives. As humans were no strangers to emotional or psychological challenges caused by problems with school or work, concerns regarding money, difficulties regarding relationships, or even grief brought on by loss in its many forms.
Often, we managed, or believed we had handled, those challenges by ourselves. But more often than not, we would benefit from guidance or support from others, such as friends, family, or even professionals such as myself.
People seek therapy for many reasons. The belief that you have to have a presenting mental health concern to access therapy is a myth. At Therapy with Millicent, I aim to be that guidance, support, and listening ear to whatever overwhelming thoughts or concerns you are experiencing. Your session and your therapy experience are dictated by you, whether that is weekly sessions to manage low moods or anxiety, or unloading various issues you face that week that have bothered or weighed you down. Therapy is about expressing, unloading, and processing what is happening for you in your daily life.
My service:
Millicent provides a service that helps support adults and people aged 16+ within a safe, confidential environment. I am a compassionate and empathic person, and I demonstrate a deep understanding of your concerns and needs. I aim to provide a safe space to unpack and process difficult times or concerning issues, a place to build your confidence whilst also educating you on ways to self-manage difficulties you experience.
I am very aware that we all experience issues in life, having had my own life challenges, where the experiences of seeking support were originally anxiety-provoking. It can feel daunting the process of reaching out, seeking or receiving effective help or support. With this in mind, I aim to provide a safe, caring environment where you can unpack difficulties you may wish to delve into during therapy.
What I offer:
Millicent offers in-person and online individual support, focusing on improving well-being, mental health and personal resilience. Millicent provides open-ended Counselling and Psychotherapy with an Integrative approach. Sessions will have elements of a Person-Centred Approach, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Attachment theory.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
