About me

Welcome to my profile page. I am a qualified, BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) registered integrative therapist - I integrate different approaches and adapt them to suit your specific needs and circumstances. Above all, I am a person with an authentic human presence. I value individual difference, otherness and uniqueness of the experience. I might not have all the answers to your questions, however, I can empower you to find your own.

What to expect from working with me

The connection between our two authenticities can serve as a vehicle for change in your life and help you to find your own path. I will respect you, your individuality and unique ways of being. It will not be uncomfortable for me to sit with you in your chaos, tolerate your stuckness and walk alongside you through dark places.

How therapy can help you

There are times in life when you may want to share with someone what you are experiencing, to be heard and understood and at the same time to listen to yourself, understand your emotions and thoughts. If you think that I might be someone who you would like to share your thoughts, feelings and experiences with, then you can expect me to help you to:

Find a strength to 'get up and carry on' and feel you are listened to and understood when no one else seems to be there for you.

Find a new perspective of looking at things.

Talk openly without fear of being judged.

Identify unhelpful coping strategies and replace them with more helpful ones.

Recognise difficult feelings and find ways to live with them.

Change the patterns of behaviour as a result of emotional triggers.

Understand how your anxiety works so you understand why you feel the way you feel. That, in turn, can help you to break the vicious circle of anxiety that just makes things worse.

Find a way to release feelings of stuckness and move on.

Clear the fog, despair and feeling of hopelessness and find clarity and hope.

Relax and gain more effective sleeping patterns.

Improve your relationships.

Develop greater self-awareness.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
