Hello and welcome, thank you for looking at my profile page.
Taking this first step and looking for a counsellor can be a very daunting experience and it's important you find the right counsellor for you. Counselling can enhance your life and be an enlightening and enjoyable experience.
I run my own private practice, seeing clients from two locations, one in Maidstone town centre and the other in Boxley.
I believe that at some point in our lives, we would all benefit from some counselling to get us back on track.
I work as a humanistic / person-centred counsellor and use aspects of other psychological approaches such as CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy). I am aware that we are all different so I adapt my approach to best suit you, my client.
I understand that sometimes it's difficult to talk about our worries and fears so I can work creatively which can help you to explore your feelings in a different way.
I work in friendly, down to earth and compassionate way which builds a trusting therapeutic relationship and provides a warm, safe, respectful and non-judgemental environment for you to explore and express your feelings and emotions.
Counselling is a unique and individual experience which can enhance your life, it helps you to understand, be kind and begin to like yourself, allowing you to grow as a person and accept who you are.
I support both adults and young people with issues such as; anxiety, low self-esteem, low self-confidence, bereavement, gender identity, self-harm, relationship problems, eating disorders including obesity and many other problems that impact on us all.
