Working online and face to face
Sometimes there is a specific reason for you to want to speak to a professional or sometimes life can just feel a little "off".
It maybe that you have suffered a loss or living with the effects of trauma. Perhaps you would like to explore unhelpful thinking or behaviour patterns or why a sense of heaviness or sadness is weighing you down.
There are times in our life where we can feel like we are a bit stuck in a problem, issue or feeling. Or that we are going round in circles not sure of the best way to move forward.
Perhaps something in your past is holding you back from living the life you want. Or maybe it is an issue in your life at the moment, that is causing you emotional pain.
Whatever difficulty you are experiencing I offer you my help and support. I offer you a inclusive, non-judgemental and objective space to unpack, explore and process your thoughts, experiences and feelings.
I will listen carefully and calmly, with respect and warmth aiding you to gain a better understanding of your personal situation and a way for you to move forward.
Whatever has shaped your story , you don't have to figure things out alone.
A little about me
I am a Integrative counsellor and this means that I can use different theories in our work together if appropriate.
I work in private practice with people from all walks of life with a wide range of worries and issues.
I also work for a branch of a National Charity that provides support for victims of sexual assault and abuse.
I am registered as a member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy) and work to their code of ethics. I’m fully insured and hold a current DBS Certificate.
Please feel free to contact me to see how I can help, as it would be a privilege to be a part of your counselling journey.
I understand that finding the right counsellor can feel daunting, so I am more than happy to answer any questions or talk through any concerns you may have about therapy here at Lavender Lane Counselling.
I offer counselling over Zoom. This is an online platform where we can meet for counselling. This gives you the choice to have counselling via a video link where we can see each other or you can just see me or via the audio link where we can just hear each other.
I can offer an free initial 20 minute consultation via Zoom if you would like to see if this is a way in which you would like to receive counselling.
I am working face to face with clients who prefer to work this way. (Following the governments guidance on working safely)

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Accredited Register Scheme
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
