About me
Working online and face to face
Hello and Welcome…….and thank you for taking the time to read this profile.
Sometimes life can feel really overwhelming. It can be hard to stay focused or know where to turn. Perhaps a sense of heaviness or sadness is weighing you down or anxiety is making it hard to get through the day or is maybe holding you back in some way.
How I can Help
Whatever is troubling you, counselling can really support you in making sense of what’s difficult. You may not know what you are seeking from counselling and that’s OK too, we can work through it together.
I can offer you a warm and calming space free of judgement to explore your thoughts and emotions and what’s going on from your perspective.
Who am I?
I’m an experienced Person Centred/Integrative Counsellor who has been working with adults and young people for the past 3 years. I am registered as a member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy) and work to their code of ethics. I’m fully insured and hold a current DBS Certificate.
I work a lot with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, not feeling good enough, trauma, abuse, suicidal thoughts, healing our "inner child" and relationship difficulties.
In an initial consultation, we can explore your thoughts and feelings about counselling and how we might work together. Whether you are interested in short or longer-term work, please feel free to contact me to see how I can help as it would be a privilege to be a part of your counselling journey.
I understand that finding the right counsellor can feel daunting, so I am more than happy to answer any questions or talk through any concerns you may have about therapy here at Lavender Lane Counselling.
Working online
I offer counselling over Zoom. This is an online platform where we can meet for counselling. This gives you the choice to have counselling via a video link where we can see each other or you can just see me or via the audio link where we can just hear each other.
I can offer an free initial 20 minute consultation via Zoom if you would like to see if this is a way in which you would like to receive counselling.
In Person
I am working face to face with clients who prefer to work this way. (Following the governments guidance on working safely)

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership

Accredited Register Scheme
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
