About me

With over 30 years of professional experience, I specialise in providing online therapy for those seeking support in their addiction recovery journey.

My approach integrates evidence-based techniques with a holistic perspective, addressing the emotional, psychological, and spiritual dimensions of addiction. Through accessible online sessions, I create a safe and supportive space to help you overcome challenges, develop strategies for lasting change, and build a healthier, more fulfilling life.

Training, qualifications & experience

My qualifications include an RSA Certificate in Counselling Skills, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Transpersonal Counselling & Psychotherapy from The Psychosynthesist Education Trust at London Bridge, alongside extensive experience of offering addiction treatment with the Herts Alcohol Problem Advisory Service, Drugsline, The Westminster Drug Project, ‘Change, Grow Live’, The Farm Dayhab, and Rehubs online group support.

Throughout my career, I have worked with a diverse range of clients, facilitating group and individual therapy in both community and clinical settings. My experience includes founding the Herts Alcohol Counselling Service (HACS), supporting individuals in probation and recovery services, and facilitating groups for relapse prevention, early recovery, and long-term sobriety. Currently, I serve as a group facilitator at The Living Room Herts and am a Co-founder of Addiction Recovery Counselling Online [ARC Online].

I am registered with the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) and adhere to their professional Ethical Framework, ensuring high standards of professionalism and care).

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
