About me

We all desire lives that are filled with meaning, purpose and satisfaction. However, sometimes we are blocked from such a life due to historical wounds of our past or fears about our future. Perhaps you have suffered a traumatic experience that remains unresolved. It might be that you struggle with feelings of anxiety, depression or sadness. You may be experiencing the challenges of bereavement, relationship issues or addictions.

Would you like to make sense of your internal conflict and emotional unrest?

My Approach

I am a fully qualified counsellor with over a decade of experience in the mental health sector. I offer face to face therapy, Skype appointments and telephone counselling.

My approach is holistic and I believe that all aspects of an individual's emotional and physical health are of equal importance.

It might be that you have never talked about your concerns to others or that you may have found it too overwhelming to do so. I provide a safe, confidential space where you can begin to explore and examine who you are without fear of being judged, criticised or shamed. I support and work alongside you in therapy and together we embark on your journey of self exploration and expression. Therapy allows you to explore your wounds and fears and harness your potential to heal and create positive transformation in your life.

I work with people affected by life issues such as anxiety, depression, past or recent trauma, domestic violence, relationship issues, loss and bereavement, addictions, confidence issues and habitual behavioural patterns.

Taking the next step

I welcome you to contact me either by telephone or email to discuss your counselling needs and to ask any questions you may have about counselling and how it works. If you wish to proceed further, then I invite you to book a counselling appointment with me.

Professional Body

I am a registered member of the BACP (the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy) which is the leading body for counselling and psychotherapy in the UK. I am committed to adhering to their strict code of ethics and framework.

Training, qualifications & experience

In addition to working in my private practice, I also work on a voluntary basis as a counsellor in two London counselling services, offering support for survivors of childhood trauma and domestic violence and clients affected by loss and bereavement. I also have worked within a student counselling service at a London University.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.
