About me

Trained at Strathclyde University (Masters of Science in Counselling)
Calm, friendly non-judgemental approach
Befitting clients who want a  relaxed, approachable, confidential and professional therapist
Specialist in Couples Counselling, Anxiety and Autistic Spectrum issues

My work with clients

I believe the work I do with clients is an "equal" relationship.  I assist them to get to the place they want to go or find the right path for them.

I work with three main groups of clients, those who have issues with anxiety, autism need couples therapy.

When working with anxiety, I determine what sort of anxiety a person has, we then work together to determine what is causing it and then we calm the anxiety down, making life easier for the client.

I also work with clients who are on the Autistic Spectrum, they may or may not have a diagnosis. I come to do this work through a dual lens of personal and professional views; my husband got a diagnosis of ASD in 2013, there was no help available for us as a couple or for him as an individual, it inspired me to do a research Masters Degree on how the therapist works with clients they perceive/are to be on the autistic spectrum. I now work with couples to help them build bridges in there relationship and understand each other more or with individuals who are facing life struggles as a result of ASD.

Finally, I work with couples who have lost their way in their relationship for whatever reason.  Couple therapy problem solving and/or determining what both parities want or do not want.  It is rarely a long term form of therapy,  most of my couples have reached their destination in 3 or 4 sessions.  However, everyone is different.
