About me
Hello
Thank you for taking the time to read my profile.
I understand how starting therapy can be a scary first step, therefore my aim is to offer you a gentle, safe, non-judgemental and comfortable environment for you to explore what may be causing you discomfort. Whether that may be exploring and understanding the root cause of your problems, or simply just someone to listen without judgement, I aim to offer you the space to grow and reach your full potential and to get in touch with your more authentic self.
We live in a fast world where sometimes the basics of just being listened to and acknowledged goes amiss and it can also be difficult to speak to friends and family about what is worrying and troubling us. Therefore I hope to offer you that opportunity to be listened to and to help you navigate through those troubles. I would like to help you to live a more confident and content life, by allowing you to address any suppressed thoughts and feelings and learn how to move forward towards a more happy, confident content life.
A little about me
I have enjoyed working and supporting individuals from a variety of backgrounds to assist them in improving their lives throughout my previous job roles. As a carer I have supported the elderly, and as a support worker I have worked with vulnerable adults where I helped them to achieve their full potential and improve their daily living.
During my counselling training I had the amazing opportunity to work with 16-19 year olds, helping them to overcome issues such as anxiety, depression and low-self esteem. I had also worked with healthcare professionals and adults of all different backgrounds and walks of life. I have a special interest in working with anxiety, low self-esteem and relationship difficulties.
I have always had a passion for supporting others, which I believe comes from myself having to work through challenging times in my own personal life. For me, I found great value in talking to someone who I knew was impartial and just allowed me to explore my what issues I was facing as well as developing myself and to become accepting of who I was as a person.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
