About me
I am a BACP Accredited Counsellor based in Horsham and Dorking.
Sometimes life can feel overwhelming and a constant struggle. Counselling gives you the space and opportunity to explore your thoughts and feelings.
I offer a calm, non-judgemental and confidential space for you to make sense of the problems you may be facing right now. I aim to help you find ways of coping better with the present, and gain a deeper understanding of yourself, increasing your self-esteem and confidence, thus allowing you to move forward to a more fulfilled way of living.
I strongly believe in the power we all have within ourselves to change and make a difference in our lives. As your therapist I will aim to facilitate and encourage you to trust yourself, make your own choices and find your own answers.
I work with adults and youths aged 12+ with issues including anxiety, stress, depression, panic attacks, bereavement, self-esteem, eating disorders and a loss of direction. In addition to my private practice, I have worked for the NHS Youth Counselling Service (NHS Mindsight Surrey CAMHS Service) in a busy GP’s Surgery in Surrey and I have also worked as a Counsellor in a Place2Be School in London.
My counselling approach is centred around you, focussing on you and what you wish to gain from therapy. Together we can explore the difficulties you are experiencing, helping you to gain a better understanding of them and enabling you to find ways to cope better with your personal situation.
I offer one-to-one counselling appointments from a comfortable private room in Horsham. An initial 20-minute consultation is available for you to talk about your counselling requirements and find out more about the way I work. You can also text or email me with any questions you may have about counselling.
As an accredited Member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP), I adhere to their strict code of ethics.

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
