About me
I’m Martyn Bradshaw, a qualified and experienced CBT therapist and psychotherapist offering online psychological therapy for adults in the UK. I work with people experiencing anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, stress, relationship difficulties, and life transitions, as well as those who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure why things aren’t improving.
Many people come to therapy after a long period of coping alone, often noticing patterns in thoughts, emotions, behaviours, or relationships that feel hard to change. CBT and psychotherapy can help you make sense of these patterns, develop new ways of responding, and feel more confident managing life’s challenges.
My work is grounded primarily in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Interpersonal Therapy (IPT). CBT is an evidence-based psychological therapy commonly used for anxiety disorders, depression, low mood, and confidence difficulties. IPT focuses on how relationships, communication styles, and life events affect emotional wellbeing. Therapy is always collaborative and tailored to your individual needs rather than following a rigid programme.
I aim to offer a calm, professional, and non-judgemental therapeutic relationship where you feel heard and supported. You don’t need to have everything clearly defined before starting therapy; many clients begin psychotherapy simply knowing that something isn’t working as they would like.
I provide online therapy sessions and work with self-funding clients and those using private health insurance.
If you’re looking for an experienced CBT therapist or psychotherapist offering online therapy in the UK, you’re welcome to get in touch to see whether working together feels like the right fit.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a qualified psychological therapist with formal training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Interpersonal Therapy (IPT). I have 13 years’ experience working within the NHS, providing evidence-based psychological therapies to adults with a wide range of mental health difficulties.
My clinical experience includes working with anxiety disorders, depression, low self-esteem, stress, relationship difficulties, and life transitions. I support clients to understand patterns in thoughts, emotions, behaviours, and relationships, and to develop practical, sustainable strategies to improve their wellbeing.
I work in a structured, collaborative, and compassionate way, tailoring therapy to each individual rather than following a one-size-fits-all approach. I am committed to ethical practice and maintain my professional standards through regular clinical supervision, ongoing training, and continued professional development.
