About me
You might be struggling with something difficult in your life in the here and now, such as the loss of a loved one, or the traumatic breakdown of a relationship. Or perhaps you’re aware of vague, underlying feelings of sadness, anxiety or anger.
Maybe you feel trapped in a cycle of repeated disappointments with partners, friends and careers and don’t know why. It might feel impossible to get what you want, or even know what you want. It may feel like there’s no one to turn to.
Whether you know what the problem is, or even if you don’t, therapy can help. It’s an opportunity to explore yourself; to examine feelings, thoughts and motivations and gain understanding - the first step towards navigating a different, happier course.

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
The therapy world can feel a little mysterious or even precious at times. A previous career outside the profession helps keep my feet on the ground and in touch with the world outside therapy where problems are not just theoretical, but practical and painful. You’ll find me reliably compassionate and understanding of you and life’s struggles.
As well as working in private practice, I am a tutor to psychotherapy and counselling students beginning their training as therapists with Bath Centre for Psychotherapy and counselling.
I have also worked as:
- Therapist with Somerset Partnership NHS Trust
- Psychotherapeutic Counsellor with Time to Talk in West Berkshire providing free of charge counselling for people in West Berkshire with problems primarily arising from depression, anxiety and issues of self-worth.
I trained under the umbrella of the Humanistic and Integrative college of psychotherapy - you can find more details here on the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy website.
