About me
You might be here because anxiety and stress are keeping you up at night; or perhaps you have lost someone and are not sure how to go on. You might feel your stomach sinking every time you think about going back to work, or maybe it is something entirely different that has prompted you to put the word “counselling” in your search engine.
Counselling can be life changing and can help you deal with the issues you are experiencing. Therapy can help you gain more control in your life, make sense of things that have happened and give you tools to live a happier and more fulfilled life.
I trained as a counsellor and started my private practice following my own personal experiences with therapy. Navigating crippling anxiety and a work-related burnout have been some of the things I learned to overcome during my counselling journey and which have turned into a passion to help others.
What I can support you with:
My main areas of focus are perinatal mental health (pregnancy, miscarriage, birth, postnatal period), bereavement & loss, and challenges of living as a neurodivergent individual in a neurotypical world.
I can also support you with all of the following:
- Anxiety
- Depression
- Feeling overwhelmed or stuck
- Difficulties associated with different life stages
- Loneliness
- Loss of purpose
- Self esteem issues
- Family difficulties
- Relationship difficulties & breakdown
- Unresolved past traumas
- Anger
- Work related stress
How I work:
As an Integrative Counsellor, I tailor my approach to you and your individual needs. The way I work is based on the following beliefs:
- Creating a safe, trusting, and non-judgemental space in therapy, where clients feel they can really be themselves, is of great importance and value.
- Our experiences from the past are often an unconscious driver of our actions in the presence.
- Understanding the past brings on greater awareness, but change happens in the present.
My focus in the sessions is on you and what you want to gain from therapy. We will explore your issues together and work towards your desired outcomes. This might be done in a time-limited way or over a longer period of time, depending on your individual needs.
Counselling sessions:
I offer sessions online through Google Meet. Additionally I can provide face-to-face availability in Croydon (CR2) on Saturday mornings.
I offer a free 15 minute introductory call, where we can speak about what brings you to therapy and agree on the next steps.
All counselling appointment are scheduled weekly at a mutually agreed time, and each session is 50 minutes in length.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am an Accredited Registrant with the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS) and follow the code of ethics outlined by them.
I qualified as Therapeutic Counsellor in 2023, following a completion of level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling.
In 2024 I became a Trauma Informed Practitioner and in early 2025 I completed additional training on Working with Shame.
I continue to enhance my knowledge through regular Continued Professional Development (a minimum of 30 hours each year).
