About me

Are you experiencing feelings that are new to you and you're not quite sure what's going on, or have you been experiencing the same feelings or getting stuck in a cycle of behaviour that you just can't seem to break free of?

You might find you're experiencing thoughts such as "Why is it always me?" "What now?" "It's all my fault." "I need help but I don't know where to start." If so, therapy could be just the step to take for you to be able to start quietening these thoughts.

Whatever it may be that you need help with (Anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, trauma etc.) I can sit with you in a safe and welcoming space whilst we explore these thoughts, feelings and behaviours helping you to look for potential route causes to your current suffering.

If that sounds like you then please don't hesitate to get in touch, I offer a free 15 minute introductory phonecall - not only for me to hear about what it is that's led you to wanting therapy but also for you to see if I'm the right fit for you. Just simply drop me a message to arrange.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a qualified therapist in Therapeutic Counselling and am a member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy)

I started out training with Listening Post who run a counselling charity, I was lucky enough to work with them whilst gaining lots of experience working with various issues such as; anxiety, depression, abuse, anger, stress, bereavement, low self-esteem and trauma.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
