About me
If you’re here, it’s likely that you’re not having the best time at the moment.
If you are in pain, unsettled or experiencing difficulties right now, please know that I value you, that my heart goes out to you, and that I sincerely hope you receive the healing support you need.
I believe that in the middle of every difficulty lies opportunity. I believe that people can change their destiny. I believe that everyone given the right conditions and circumstances, has an innate tendency towards positive growth. My role in moments of difficulty, is to provide support for you to discover your opportunities, and to create new possibilities for your life.
I'm a qualified and experienced practitioner who is supportive and non-judgemental. I practice in a confidential caring space and people tell me I am kind, approachable and genuine.
What to Expect.. I believe that therapy is a collaborative process and is as unique as you are. In support of this I will honour your experiences, so that together we can explore what meanings emerge from your emotional pain. I will be there shoulder to shoulder with you, providing a safe, accepting and confidential environment.
To Begin.. making the first step can often be challenging and I am aware of the courage needed to do this. To support you in your decision making I welcome a telephone call or email as an opportunity for us to make an initial contact. Feel free to ask any questions you may have, discuss your needs and arrange an initial introductory session. I am very much in support of you finding the right therapist so my initial 30 min session is complimentary. In this initial session we will have a chance to begin to get to know each other and to decide if we are a good fit. From there we decide together how we will go on.
I wish you good fortune in your journey and the future choices you make.
warmly
Mark

school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
UKATA (formally the Institute of Transactional Analysis) is the national UK Transactional Analysis organisation representing all fields of TA theory and practice. TA can be used as an effective tool in a wide range of contexts such as: personal development, management, coaching, counselling, psychotherapy, teaching, education, parenting and more.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
Areas of counselling I deal with
Other areas of counselling I deal with
Psychotherapy in Nature.
I believe a natural environment provides a soft focus presence that encourages thoughts and feelings to emerge naturally. I believe that by harnessing our innate response to green settings, we as human beings gain an experience of sensory vitality. When we are in nature as living beings within a collective sense of life, the possibilities of new positive connections are supported.
