About me
Are you done with the way that you are feeling and want to change that? If you are willing then it is possible!!
Do you suffer from anxieties, depression, low moods, no balance with your emotions and feel that you have no control over how you feel?
Are you a chronic over-thinker? Does your mind race 24/7 and always go to the worst case scenario in a lot of your situations? Would you like to get a better understanding of where this comes from and how to get more control over it?
Do you never feel good enough about yourself in any situation/relationship that you are in no matter what you do?
We all have our own internal experiences and story and we all deserve to be listened to.
I offer a safe space, confidentiality and privacy to give you the opportunity to help you improve how you feel and get what you want out of the sessions and the life you want to live.
I deal with anxiety, depression, addiction( alcohol, sex, drugs, food) relationship issues, financial insecurities, work related stress, body image issues, low self-esteem and beravement/loss.
Addiction - Do you have something in your life that you feel powerless over and is becoming destructive in your life?
Alcohol, drugs, gambling, sex, shopping, toxic relationships, work, social media?
Bereavement - Grief is not an illness or disorder, it's a normal reaction to loss and can impact us in many ways. There are different types of grief such as masked and delayed grief which are suppressed and can impact our underlying emotions and then express itself through physical symptoms.
Work Related Stress - I have over 25 years of experience working in a high pressure financial environment in senior management and various other roles. I have years of experience dealing with HR and Occupational Health and supporting work related stress cases and according to YouGov and Mental Health Foundation 60% of 18-24 year olds and 41% of 25-34 year olds feel pressured to succeed.
Body Image Issues - In a YouGov survey in March 2019 of around 5000 people 20% of them felt shame about their body image. Our perception of how we look does dictate how we feel. We live in a world where we are constantly subjected to image ideals through Instagram and TikTok etc. I work with clients to get a better understanding of how this impacts us mentally and physically and how you can change your thinking around this to bring improvement. Look into obsessive thinking patterns around our body image, eating and health etc.
Relationships - Do you struggle in relationships with your partner, family, friends and workplaces?
Do you struggle to maintain or have healthy relationships?
I work with clients to get a better understanding of the relationships we have with ourselves and others and how to enhance these to enhance our relationships in all aspects of our lives.
Sports Psychology - I have been a qualified sports coach for 16 years and have worked with a high number of athletes at all ages and other coaches, some in a professional capacity. An elite mindset is essential for any high performing athlete to achieve the mental strength required to get results at the highest level.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
