About me
Hi there ,
I have over a decades experience working with children , young people , their parents , carers and schools .
I am a considered, thoughtful practitioner who takes time to understand before reaching for a framework. My approach draws on person-centred, psychodynamic , trauma and attachment-informed thinking, with practical psychoeducational elements where helpful. I am based in North West London and work face to face in Mill Hill, NW7, and occasionally online for older children and young people
Sessions are available for families and their children who want to explore whether counselling is the right next step.
If counselling is needed , for younger children, sessions are play-based - toys, art and creative materials are taken seriously as communication, not just activities.
For teenagers, I offer a more conversational space to think through identity, friendships, anxiety, family change and the pressures, realities and advantages of growing up in a real and online world.
If you would like to know a little more about me , or how I can help , I offer a free twenty minute consultation .
I have availability for face to face work on Fridays as of September 2026.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have spent over a decade working directly with children and young people - in schools, charitable settings and the community across northwest London. Much of this work has been with children and their families, facing significant challenges: anxiety, trauma, family breakdown, bereavement, identity questions, the pressures of school and social media, and the complexity of growing up in diverse, multicultural communities.
My approach with children is patient and curious. With younger children I work through play - taking seriously what children communicate through toys, art and imaginative play, rather than expecting them to put difficult feelings into words before they are ready. With teenagers I offer a more direct, conversational space - one where they can think aloud about what is happening for them without feeling judged or managed.
.I also work closely with the adults around the child - parents, carers and school staff - because I know that children rarely struggle in isolation. Understanding what is happening at home, at school and in the systems around them is part of how I help.
I hold a postgraduate diploma in counselling and psychotherapy with children and young people in schools and I am an accredited clinical supervisor with the CPCAB.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
