About me
Taking the first step towards counselling can feel daunting. You may be struggling with anxiety, low mood, grief, relationship difficulties, trauma, life transitions, or simply feeling that something isn’t quite right.
I offer counselling for adults and young people in a warm, compassionate and non-judgemental environment. I believe that you are the expert in your own life, and my role is to walk alongside you as we explore your experiences, make sense of challenges and work towards meaningful change at a pace that feels right for you.
As an integrative therapist, I tailor therapy to your individual needs rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach. I draw from Humanistic, Cognitive Behavioural (CBT) and Psychodynamic approaches, while placing the therapeutic relationship at the heart of our work together.
I have experience supporting people from a wide range of backgrounds, including LGBTQ+ clients and neurodivergent individuals, and aim to provide an affirming space where all parts of you are welcome.
I offer counselling online and by telephone, allowing you to access support from a location that feels comfortable and convenient for you.
Training, qualifications & experience
I hold a BSc (Hons) in Psychology and an FdSc in Integrative Therapy.
Alongside private practice, I have worked with adults and older adolescents experiencing a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties. My background in psychology has deepened my understanding of trauma, including the impact of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), and how early experiences can influence the way we relate to ourselves, others and the world around us.
My integrative training allows me to draw from Humanistic, Cognitive Behavioural (CBT) and Psychodynamic approaches, adapting therapy to meet the unique needs of each individual.
I have also completed a certificate in Autism Awareness through Vital Skills and have experience working with neurodivergent individuals. I am currently completing training in Supervision Practice as part of my ongoing professional development and commitment to high-quality, ethical practice.
Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
I believe that meaningful change happens when we feel genuinely heard, understood and accepted. My approach is collaborative, compassionate and grounded in the belief that you are the expert in your own life. Together, we can create a space where you feel able to explore whatever is bringing you to counselling, without judgement or pressure.
If you feel I may be the right counsellor for you, I’d be happy to hear from you.
