About me
I am a chartered psychologist based in Suffolk. I specialise in short and long-term Counselling and Psychotherapy for Anxiety, Depression, Relationship Difficulties, Low Self Esteem, Phobias, Trauma, Stress, Work and Career Issues, Compulsive Disorders, Bereavement, Self Development and Insomnia.
Taking responsibility for yourself and your life is not always easy, particularly when we are feeling down and have no one to turn to.
Whether you want to improve your personal or professional life or the way you feel about yourself, therapy can help.
Therapy can also help if you are experiencing difficulties in your relationships or suffering from anxiety, depression, phobia, fears, trauma, anger, lack of confidence or low self-esteem, or simply have difficulties in managing your life and adjusting to new situations.
My work focuses on helping you make sense of your situations and to find ways of making changes for the better.
I work integratively, using a combination of different approaches. These include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Analytical Therapy (CAT) and Systemic Couple and Family Counselling. Whatever the approach, I keep the clients' objectives and their goals central to therapy, helping people through a collaborative work of exploration, to make sense of their situation and to achieve their goal which is at the very core of the service I provide.
Together we will be working towards improving the quality of your life, yourself and your relationships.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have experience working with the Cognitive Analytical Model (CAT) and gained my CAT skills accreditation in 2010. I also have experience working with systemic family therapy and have a first certificate which I obtained in 2010. In addition to this, I have worked for the NHS for many years in a variety of settings. These included Adult Mental Health, Learning Difficulties as well as Child and Family clinics.
I have a Master's Degree in Counselling Psychology (M.Psych), and I am a Chartered Psychologist registered with the British Psychological Society (BPS).
I am also registered with the British Health Professional Council (HPC) as a Practitioner Psychologist.
