About me

I have a special interest in relationship issues including gender identity

I work with individuals, couples and adolescents.

I work in an integrative approach using CBT and creative methods in a Person-centred way to tailor the therapy to best suit the client's needs to achieve their goals.

I work short term or long term face to face, online or via telephone.

I can also offer 1 1/2 hour Equestrian Facilitated sessions.

Training, qualifications & experience

Advance Diploma in Humanistic counselling, Certificate in Therapeutic and Educational Applications of the Arts, Post-graduate Diploma in Couple Counselling

I have had advanced training in CBT. I have also had training in working with addiction, eating disorders, trauma, OCD, loss and bereavement and couple work.

I have worked professionally for several years and I have had experience in working with depression, anger, anxiety, panic, addiction, relationship issues, childhood issues including abuse, loss, health problems, PTSD, OCD, self-esteem issues, low confidence, eating disorders, attachment issues, trauma, domestic violence and complex issues where there are several contributing factors to the problem,

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BACP

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

I charge £45.00 for a 50 minute session and £90.00 for 1 1/2 hour Equestrian Facilitated sessions

My consulting room is situated in a quiet residential area in North Tonbridge. There is ample parking on the road. I can be contacted on any of the telephone numbers and messages can be left on the answer machine. I can also be contact via e-mail.
