About me
Hello, I’m Marcia.
I’m a warm, down-to-earth therapist passionate about promoting wellbeing and mental health. I aim to provide a supportive space where you can feel heard, understood, and empowered to make positive changes in your life.
I am qualified to work with adults, children, and adolescents aged 11–18.
Do you find that your mental health is affecting your family life, work, or relationships? You may feel stuck in a cycle of low mood, isolated, or emotionally, mentally, and physically exhausted.
Perhaps you are struggling with anxiety, fear, or discomfort in everyday or social situations. You might experience panic attacks, intrusive thoughts, or distressing memories, and find it difficult to relax, focus, or calm your mind.
You may feel disconnected from yourself, unsure of your thoughts, feelings, or behaviours, and going through a particularly challenging time.
If you have lost someone important, you might be struggling with grief and adjusting to life without them, with sadness that feels overwhelming.
If addiction is affecting your life, it may feel unmanageable and exhausting, impacting your wellbeing and relationships.
Whatever you’re facing, you don’t have to go through it alone. I am here to support you on your journey toward healing and wellbeing.
I have worked with individuals to help overcome issues of:-
- Childhood adverse experiences
- Anxiety and Depression
- Low self-esteem
- School stress (children & adolescent's)
- Disordered eating
- Addictions
- Grief and Bereavement Counselling
- Families grieved through suicide

- General counselling support with everyday life
- Support with chronic illness
- Work related stress
I
As an qualified integrated counsellor, I can combine cognitive behavioural therapies (CBT) and person centred (talk therapy) therapies in sessions. I believe it can help you overcome what is going on for you, as I believe this combination of therapies can give you the best individualised sessions. I work in a non-judgemental, empathic and professional manner, treating everyone as unique, as you have your own individual life stores to tell.
I’m here to support you in reconnecting with your self-worth, making positive changes, and becoming the best version of yourself. Together, we can work on helping you feel more in control of your emotions, learn practical tools to manage your thoughts, and build confidence so you can move forward and live your life in a way that feels right for you. Change is possible, and you don’t have to do it alone.
I offer sessions face-to-face and online, or a mix of both—whatever feels most comfortable for you. Appointments can be arranged around your work and life commitments, with sessions available weekly or fortnightly.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
