About me
I am a UKCP Psychotherapist, & have a private psychotherapy and counselling practice.
I offer individual therapy to adults.
Location: near to Solihull Hospital with free private parking.
I work primarily using Transactional Analysis (TA), it is a powerful and effective therapeutic approach, which is widely used by psychotherapists and counsellors to resolve areas within your life where you may be experiencing difficulties.
I also offer EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy) for clients who have experienced trauma. EMDR’s aim is to reduce distress and negative beliefs associated with past overwhelming or traumatic events, whether experienced as an adult or during childhood.
Sometimes we may find that life isn't working the way we want it to, relationships may be problematic, we can feel like we are struggling, and we may not have the words for what is wrong, we just get a sense. There are times when we can't turn to family or friends for support, and sometimes our difficulties involve those very people. We all experience times in our life when we need help. Therapy can help us find meaning and make sense of what is going on for us and move us towards a more contented way of being, freeing us from restrictions, providing more choices and freedom.
I believe what is important is whether we can work together in a way that is effective and helpful to you, therefore I offer an initial 30 minute free consultation. It might be that we decide to engage in short-time therapy with a very clear outcome, or we might decide to take more time and explore and work on a deeper level.
If you would like to talk to me about a problem you are experiencing then please contact me by text, phone or email.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
