About me
Hi, welcome,
My counselling style is plain speaking and relaxed, I adapt and use tools to help us both understand you and your story. Your sessions are for you to guide me through your difficulties at your own pace, you are in control and we work together to figure out what will help. My own lived experiences, of being Neurodivergent, Anxiety, Depression , low mood , mental health issues, both professionally and personally, enable me to offer you genuine empathy and understanding without judgement. We are both human beings who have made mistakes and have found life hard at times, I feel it’s important to connect and use that knowledge to explore the issues you choose to bring. I work in a trauma informed way keeping you safe throughout.
I trained as a counsellor following my own personal experiences with mental health and it’s overwhelming affects. I found that Therapy can help unravel the issues and gain more control in life, finding all the threads that connect to make sense of who we are and why we feel the way we do.
If you're feeling there are parts of you that you don't understand, you feel anger, hurt and upset by things that you have had to face and feel alone, no one gets it, I get it, I too have felt like this and I can be here with you to help you figure it out or just to be heard, to be seen.
I can help you make changes from feeling overwhelmed, overloaded and stuck to moving towards living a full and happy life again. You have made the first step by stopping by.
You might be here because you are Neurodivergent, newly diagnosed , self diagnosed looking to understand yourself better.
We will look together at the things that are holding you back, weighing heavy and work out where to start to move towards feeling better, to being the person you want to be.
I also offer EFT (Tapping) and am a qualified EFT practitioner.

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
The National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society This Not For Profit association of counsellors and psychotherapists aim to support the counselling profession, members and training organisations. In 2013 the NCS register was accredited by the Professional Standards Authority under the Accredited Voluntary Register Scheme. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
