About me
About Me
I specialise in supporting neurodivergent adults, children, young people, and their families through gentle, creative, and relational therapy.
Many of the children I work with experience anxiety, emotional overwhelm, meltdowns, rigid thinking, school difficulties, ADHD-related challenges, or feeling “different” to others. Parents often come to me because they want their child to feel calmer, more confident, and better understood.
How I Work
At MJ NeuroArt Therapy, I blend talking therapy, art and creative methods, and sensory-based tools to help children express what they struggle to put into words.
I create a calm, accepting space where clients can explore feelings safely, build emotional regulation skills, and develop confidence at their own pace.
My work is trauma- and neurodiversity-affirming and adapted for each child or young person, including those with:
Autism
ADHD
Sensory processing differences
Anxiety/panic attacks
Anger/behaviour linked to overwhelm or shutdown.
Support for Parents
I also offer sessions for parents looking for guidance with:
-Understanding behaviour
-Reducing daily stress
-Supporting emotional regulation
-Strengthening connection at home.

My Approach
As an MBACP-registered counsellor, I work in a warm, gentle, and non-judgemental way. Children tell me they feel safe with me, and parents tell me they finally feel understood.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
Hi, I’m Magda — a qualified counsellor, MBACP member, and founder of MJ NeuroArt Therapy.
I specialise in supporting neurodivergent adults , children and teens, and parents who are feeling overwhelmed, worried, or unsure how to help their child feel calmer and more confident.
Many of the families I work with come to me because their child is experiencing:
-Anxiety or emotional overwhelm
Meltdowns or shutdowns
-School anxiety or refusal
-ADHD-related challenges
-Low confidence or difficulties expressing feelings
-Sensory overload or big emotions they can’t name
How I Work
I offer a gentle, creative, and neurodiversity-affirming space where children can express themselves in ways that feel natural — through art, play, sensory tools, or quiet conversation.
My approach supports emotional regulation, confidence, and self-understanding, especially for children who find talking difficult.
I also work with:
Parents of neurodivergent children
Adults exploring anxiety, trauma, burnout, identity, or late-diagnosed neurodivergence.
People who prefer visual, sensory, or non-verbal communication styles

My Promise
My goal is to create a safe, warm, and accepting environment where every person — regardless of communication style, diagnosis, or background — feels understood, respected, and supported.
Therapy can be playful, empowering, and gentle.
