Hello, my name is Lucy and I can provide a supportive, accepting and friendly counselling service for you.
I have successfully helped my clients to overcome anxiety, depression, stress, loss, loneliness, social isolation, low self esteem, anger, relationship problems and other similar issues.
This can be achieved in a way that suits your needs. I can provide short term, solution focused counselling, or if you prefer, I can provide medium to long term therapeutic support.
Here are some recent reviews:
“I came to Lucy after feeling a tangled mess of emotions, low mood, stress and anxiety. I couldn’t understand why I was feeling the way I was and knew that I needed help but didn’t know how to ask for it. Lucy has helped me understand the help I needed and how to unravel my emotions and deal with them accordingly, she is a wonderful person with a caring nature and is very professional and easy to talk with. I would highly recommend Lucy.” (F January 2018 – 6 sessions)
"I had a traumatic childhood which I bottled up for years and which has impacted on my personal relationships. Having reached boiling point I knew it was time to seek help. I could not have chosen a better person to have told my story to. I now feel that the book is closed on those dark days and a new chapter has begun. Lucy has been very professional in every aspect of dealing with my scarred past and I have no reservations in recommending her services” (April 2018 Anon Male 56 - 5 sessions)

You will find that I work with you to ensure you get the most out of your time with me. With firm foundations in Person Centred Counselling, I work pluralistically most commonly adding elements from;
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) Solution Focused Therapy, Psych-education, Transactional Analysis (TA), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Schema Theory, Attachment Theory and Brief intervention theory
Areas of counselling I deal with
- Affairs and betrayals
- Anger management
- Asperger's syndrome
- Bipolar disorder
- Domestic violence
- Feeling sad
- Generalised anxiety disorder
- Low self-confidence
- Low self-esteem
- Panic disorder
- Personality disorders
- Postnatal depression
Other areas of counselling I deal with
I work using the pluralistic approach which recognises that there are many reasons why we seek therapy and many different ways to help a problem. Recognising this increases the potential to make positive and welcome change.
I keep the foundations of my therapeutic work within the person centred approach and I am by nature a very analytical thinker. These elements combine and naturally influence the way I work.
