About me
About Me and My Therapeutic Approach
Hello, I am a Chartered Clinical Psychologist and completed my professional doctorate at the University of Oxford. I am registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and a member of the British Psychological Society (BPS). In my work, I like to help people to gain a better understanding of themselves so they can live a better life. I offer a calm, non-judgmental, compassionate space to work with you in your area of need. This could include specific difficulties with mental health such as depression, anxiety, and PTSD or challenges in other areas, such as relationships and work. I centre my practice on authenticity and integrity, recognising that change can be hard but certainly possible and sustainable.
I will work collaboratively with you to identify treatment goals and a plan. Through my experience of working with people with diverse presentations I appreciate the need to individualise therapy. I strive to work flexibly to suit your needs and believe that central to significant progress is a meaningful therapeutic relationship. I am trained in a number of evidence-based therapy models and can work with you to identify the most appropriate one for you.
Please get in touch if you would like to explore therapy options with me.
Initial Appointment
I know that people enter therapy for different reasons with different experiences. You may have a good idea of areas you want to work on, may have had therapy before, or may not quite know what is going on for you - just that your life isn't heading the way you want it to.
In the initial appointment, I can complete an assessment to determine an overview of your situation and how I might be able to help. We can work together to form a psychological understanding and an action plan.
