About me

I specialise in child mental health, parenting and parent wellbeing. Perhaps you are a parent who is struggling with self-criticism and guilt around your parenting, or perhaps you are finding yourself becoming angry and would like to become a calmer parent. Possibly your child is struggling with attending school or they have recently become more distant from you. Whatever your parenting challenge, whether it be directly for yourself or to support your child, I am passionate and available to help. Through my work I strive to increase family bonding and move your parenting from feeling like you are thriving, not just surviving.

I work integratively, which means that I draw upon multiple different models to develop an individualised approach which is most appropriate for you. I can work closely with schools and other professionals to ensure a consistent approach across settings for your child. I will work collaboratively with you to ensure that we are moving towards your goals.

I currently have capacity to offer therapy online and offer a free 15 minute telephone consultation to help you determine if I am the right fit for you. Depending on location, I may be able to provide in-person school support on a case by case basis.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have a doctorate in Clinical Psychology and have worked with clients across the life span and with a wide range of mental health challenges. Outside of my private work, I also hold an employed position working in post-adoption support and neurodevelopmental assessment (such as Autism and ADHD).

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

HCPC
Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.

They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.

Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
