About me
My name is Lovisa and I provide a compassionate and non-judgemental space to explore and understand yourself, any current concerns, insecurities, and past experiences that may be hindering you from leading the life you wish to have.
I am an integrative cognitive behavioural therapist who utilises various approaches to tailor therapy to your needs, empower you with effective strategies and tools for navigating the ups and downs of life.
Training, qualifications & experience
- SCOTACS Diploma in Counselling and Groupwork - A Cognitive Behavioural Therapy Approach at The Centre of Therapy, Edinburgh, Scotland. Validated by the professional counselling body for Scotland (COSCA).
- COSCA Certificate in Counselling Skills - A Person-Centred and Psychodynamic Approach at the University of Edinburgh, Scotland. Validated by the professional counselling body for Scotland (COSCA).
- Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Psychology at the University of Dundee, Scotland. Accredited by the British Psychological Society (BACP).
- Training in working with Learning Disabilities, Harmful Sexual Behaviour and Trauma.
- Training in the protection of Vulnerable Adults and Children.

COSCA is the professional body for counselling and psychotherapy in Scotland, and seeks to advance all forms of counselling and psychotherapy and the use of counselling skills by promoting best practice and through the delivery of a range of sustainable services. COSCA Counsellor Accreditation is a pathway to entry onto the UKRC. It is a requirement of all individual and organisational members of COSCA to abide by its Statement of Ethics and Code of Practice and be accountable to the Complaints Procedure. The Initial Meeting (50 minutes) is £40 - an opportunity for you to discuss your current concerns and desired outcomes, as well as, to get acquainted and determine if working together feels right for you.
Individual Therapy (50 minutes) is £55 - weekly sessions are recommended to help maintain consistency in the therapeutic process. Alternatively, fortnighlty sessions are available.
Concession rate is available for those on low income or students. Each session cost £35. Please note that availability for the concession rate is limited.
