About me
I am a Counselling Psychologist and Certified Schema Therapist with several years of experience working with a variety of psychological difficulties. As an applied psychologist, I am registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). I am trained to a doctoral level to deliver evidence-based therapy from a variety of therapeutic models, such as Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (TF-CBT), Schema Therapy, Mindfulness and Person-Centred therapy. This allows me to tailor therapy to your individual needs, goals and preferences.
I specialise in working with complex, long-standing difficulties, such as personality disorders, complex trauma, bipolar disorder, OCD, eating disorders, chronic anxiety and chronic depression, in addition to more mild to moderate difficulties. I have a particular interest in working with survivors of childhood and/or interpersonal trauma.
Training, qualifications & experience
- Certified Schema Therapist
- Professional Doctorate in Counselling Psychology (DPsych), Glasgow Caledonian University (3 Years clinical training)
- Bachelor of Science (BSc Honours) in Psychology, University of Exeter
These are the qualifications I am required to have to be able to practice as a Counselling Psychologist. However, since my graduation, and as part of my role in the NHS, I have completed several other training courses in particular therapies, difficulties and approaches.
Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
