About me
Are you feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or stuck? Life can throw unexpected challenges our way, whether it's the breakdown of a relationship, work-related stress, low self-worth, or simply feeling lost without knowing why. You might find yourself lying awake at night, caught in cycles of overthinking or questioning why it feels so hard to cope when others seem to be managing just fine.
We all experience difficult emotions - sadness, anger, anxiety, guilt, and sometimes it can be hard to talk about them. You may be used to putting on a brave face or minimising your feelings to avoid burdening others. But bottling things up can take its toll.
Therapy offers a safe, non-judgemental space to:
· Explore whatever you’re feeling, helping you feel more understood and less alone
· Break the cycle of overthinking and gently shift your focus to what’s within your control
· Reconnect with who you are and what matters to you, especially after major life changes
Since becoming a therapist, I’ve supported people through a wide range of emotional difficulties, including grief, anxiety, stress, life transitions, and identity challenges. I also volunteered with Cruse Bereavement during the pandemic, supporting those navigating complex feelings of loss and isolation.
I offer a compassionate, down-to-earth approach to therapy. Whether you're navigating a specific challenge or just feel like something isn’t quite right, I’d love to help.
I offer both in-person sessions at Amber Health Clinic in Baldock and online appointments.
If you're curious about starting therapy, please get in touch for an introductory call. We can talk about what you're looking for and whether working together feels like the right fit. I’d love to hear from you.
I’m a fully qualified and registered counsellor with the BACP.
Training, qualifications & experience
Before retraining as a therapist, I worked as a solicitor supporting asylum-seekers with their applications to remain in the UK. In that role, I witnessed the deep emotional toll of uncertainty, disconnection, and starting over in a new and unfamiliar environment. Many of the people I worked with faced immense challenges without a supportive person to turn to.
Since becoming a therapist, and through my own personal experiences, I’ve come to truly value the power of being heard and understood. During the pandemic, I volunteered for a Cruse Bereavement and saw how vital it was for people to have a space to talk about what they were going through, whether that was isolation, change, or emotional pain.
With over five years of experience working with people through life’s most difficult and transformative moments, including in a hospice and community settings, I’ve supported many individuals from all walks of life and I’d love to help you too.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
