About me
Hello, I’m Lotte.
I offer a confidential, warm and friendly environment in which you can explore the reasons that bring you to counselling. I work collaboratively with you and encourage curiosity to gain a deeper awareness of how you experience yourself, the world and others.
I offer both short-term focussed counselling working on a specific issue, or longer term counselling where we can explore things in greater depth. I am an Integrative Psychotherapeutic Counsellor, which means I bring together different counselling theories and schools of thought and tailor my approach to each person.
Alongside talking, I offer sand tray and other creative methods if you feel they are something you would like to explore.
Working ethically is extremely important to me and I am guided by the UKCP code of ethics.
I work with adults over the age of 18.
You are welcome to contact me by email if you have any questions or would like to arrange an initial appointment.
Please note that Counselling Directory emails can end up in spam/junk folders so please check for responses there if you contact me.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have both a BSc and an Advanced Diploma in Integrative Counselling. I am a registered member of UKCP.
I have experience of working with trauma, dissociative disorders, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, life changes, sexual and gender identity, neurodiversity and low self-esteem.
I have worked in low-cost counselling charities and am now in private practice working from Central Norwich.
Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
