About me
I understand that life can become difficult and stressful. Some situations can feel overwhelming. I'm here to listen and to start you on the path to good mental health.
Counselling provides a regular time and space for you to talk about your troubles and explore difficult feelings in an environment that is dependable, free from intrusion and confidential. Your viewpoint will always be respected and counselling can support you to deal with specific problems, cope with a crisis, improve your relationships, or develop better ways of living.
You can gain insight into your feelings and behaviour and you will be supported to make manageable changes in your life.
Sessions usually take place once a week but can be fortnightly or monthly depending on your personal circumstances... Making a regular commitment gives you a better chance of finding out why you are having difficulties, but this can vary and will be agreed at the outset..
Some issues that can be worked through during counselling include:
- Depression
- Anxiety
- Phobias
- Bereavement
- Debt
- Low self-esteem
- Marriage problems
- Eating Disorders
- Drug/Alcohol addiction
- Abuse
- Bullying
- Suicidal feelings
- Isolation
You can be seen personally in Brora/ Inverness.
Zoom, Skype, WhatsApp video call and internet telephone sessions are available worldwide, so you can receive support without leaving your home.
You can and will, feel better....

Further information
My career in Counselling and Support began in 2002 where I undertook six months of residential weekend training, provided by Alcohol Focus Scotland. I then completed 2 years of supervised practice placement providing counselling to clients and their family members who were suffering from Alcohol/Drug Abuse Issues. After gaining accreditation with AFS I continued providing advice and counselling on a voluntary basis before moving over to Private Practice in 2011.
Over the past 15 years I have continued my Professional Development gaining additional certificates in Life-Coaching, Nutritional Therapy, Macro and Micro Nutrients, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Anger and Agression Management, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Equality and Diversity, Child Protection, and Neuro-Linguistic Programming. I then studied with the Institute of Counselling to gain my Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.
I continue to provide support with Victim Support Scotland, and see many clients who have been victims of any type of crime. This ranges from Serious Sexual Assaults, to harassment and stalking.
I look forward to helping you on your Body, Mind, Spirit journey to better health.
