About me
Are you struggling with relationship anxiety, anxious attachment or painful relationship patterns that keep repeating? Perhaps you find yourself overthinking conversations, questioning where you stand with someone, losing confidence in yourself or carrying a lot for other people while feeling alone underneath.
You may understand logically that something needs to change, yet still find yourself caught in the same thoughts, feelings or relationship patterns. Therapy can give you confidential space to slow things down and begin to understand not only what is happening, but why.
I offer a warm, down-to-earth and relational approach. I won't tell you what decisions to make, but together we can explore your experiences and recurring patterns, including how earlier experiences may be influencing the way you feel and relate to others today. My aim is to help you develop a greater understanding of yourself, stronger boundaries and a more secure sense of who you are.
Alongside relationship and attachment difficulties, I work with anxiety, low self-esteem, grief and loss, addiction and significant life changes. I work with adults of all ages, both face-to-face from my practice in Southwater in Horsham and online across the UK.
Reaching out to a therapist can feel daunting, particularly if you haven't had counselling before. I offer a free initial 15-minute telephone conversation so that you can tell me a little about what is bringing you to therapy, ask any questions and get a sense of whether I might be the right therapist for you. There is no obligation to book a session afterwards.
I also offer couples counselling for partners experiencing communication difficulties, recurring conflict, emotional disconnection or difficulties with intimacy. Couples therapy can provide a neutral space to understand the patterns developing between you and explore whether and how you would like your relationship to move forward.
