About me

Hello, I’m Lola. I’m an HCPC-registered Art Psychotherapist offering a creative, relational and neurodivergent-affirming therapeutic space for children, young people and adults.

I believe therapy is not about fixing or changing who someone is. It is about creating a space where you can feel understood, supported and able to explore your experiences at your own pace.

As an Art Psychotherapist, I offer a way of working that goes beyond words. Talking can be part of therapy, but it does not have to be the only way we communicate. Sessions may include art-making, sensory exploration, movement, reflection, imagery, or simply having space to be alongside another person without pressure to perform or explain.

I work particularly with neurodivergent people, including autistic and ADHD adults and young people, those who are exploring their neurodivergence, and people who may have spent a long time masking, adapting, or feeling misunderstood. I also support people experiencing anxiety, overwhelm, burnout, emotional difficulties, identity exploration, life transitions, trauma, disability, and times when things feel difficult to make sense of.

My approach is collaborative and individualised. I am interested in understanding you as a whole person, your experiences, relationships, strengths, interests and the environments around you  rather than focusing only on difficulties or symptoms.

I offer online sessions and can sometimes offer home visits in South West London depending on location and accessibility needs. Sessions are available in English, French and Italian.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a qualified Art Psychotherapist registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC registration AS019337).

I completed my MA in Art Psychotherapy at Goldsmiths, University of London, where I developed my clinical practice across educational and community settings.

I have experience supporting children, young people and adults with a range of experiences, including neurodivergence, emotional regulation difficulties, anxiety, trauma, communication differences, disability, and periods of change or uncertainty.

My clinical experience includes working within specialist education and mainstream school settings, providing individual therapy and collaborating with teachers, SENCOs, families and wider professionals to support children and young people’s emotional wellbeing.

My practice is informed by relational, trauma-aware and neurodiversity-affirming approaches. I draw on psychodynamic thinking, attachment theory, creative approaches and an understanding of how experiences, relationships and environments shape how we see ourselves and the world.

Alongside my clinical work, I have a background in visual arts and creative facilitation, which continues to influence how I think about creativity, expression and connection.

HCPC
Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.

They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.

Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.

Further information

Finding the right therapist matters, and I believe the therapeutic relationship is central to meaningful work. The first sessions are an opportunity for us to get to know each other, explore what you are looking for, and see whether working together feels like a good fit.

You do not need to arrive knowing exactly what you want to talk about, and there is no expectation to create art in a particular way or have a specific goal from the beginning. Therapy can unfold gradually, in a way that respects your own pace, communication style and needs.

I aim to offer a warm, accepting and non-judgemental space where different ways of thinking, feeling, communicating and experiencing the world are welcomed.
