About me

Hello 🌱 Perhaps you’re feeling overwhelmed, struggling with anxiety, or feeling like the weight of the world is on your shoulders.

Life could be throwing a lot in your direction and you may be feeling lost, misunderstood or insecure.

Whatever the reason, beginning your mental health journey through therapy can be a huge and daunting step. I recognise that making that step takes a tremendous amount of courage and I want to make sure you feel comfortable enough to express yourself and explore your feelings to reach the ultimate goal of therapy, change. 🌿

My practice focuses heavily on how we can manage the different transitions within our lives. From changing schools to university or employment, and then into the ‘adult’ world or to managing a new diagnosis or change in relationships.

I believe that you are an active participant in your therapy experience which means that our sessions will be entirely catered to your needs. I aim to equip you with skills and strategies which will help build your resilience and manage life in a healthier way. 🪴

I specialise in working with those going through adolescence, 11-25 year olds. However, if you are outside this age bracket and feel you'd like to work with me then please get in touch.

Living with chronic migraines and being dyslexic myself brings a human outlook to my therapeutic work. My approach is integrative and will draw on several theories and frameworks depending on what you and the moment require.

My cosy and modern therapy space is nestled in the heart of Ashley Cross, Poole.

In my spare time, I like to walk along our beautiful seaside, coffee in hand, with my husband and our fluff-ball, Leo.

If you would like to explore the possibility of therapy with me or have any questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch and I will contact you to arrange an Initial Consultation session. 🌱

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
