About me

Hello and welcome, I'm Lissa.
(L.M.E. Counselling)

Working with:

  • Overstimulated Mum (and Dads)
  • Carers/Family members living with Dementia.
  • People living with Chronic illnesses
  • ADHD
  • Autism
  • Mental health conditions- such as OCD, Anxiety and Depression.

I’m a person-centred counsellor based in Bromsgrove, this means that together we will explore, learn and understand your feelings and emotions. We will work together to work on your ‘self’.  Working with personal growth that then enables self discovery.

*What can I offer for you?*  A welcoming place to talk about anything that you feel you need to express. There is no right or wrong way, it's your way. I won't judge you and I'll work hard to actively listen to you; to help me to understand you and your world.

The way we will work is that we put YOU at the heart of the sessions. After all, this is your life and your story.

Why me?

  • Having over 13 years of experience in the Health and Care sector. It’s helped me to gain the skills I need to understand people as individuals.
  • You would have a safe, non-judgmental and confidential space to be able to explore yourself.
  • We will work together, allowing you to go at your pace, so no pressure is put on you.
  • Allow you the time to process your emotions.
  • To give you the space to talk, cry, laugh, scream and shout and just be silent (Remember this is about you and how you process and progress through your journey).
  • I believe everyone has the right to feel heard. You have the right to feel heard.

We will work together, to help you get the help that you need. I am here to guide you, we will work side by side.

What will you expect in the first session?

In our first session we will get to meet each other, and see if we are the right fit for each other. We will go through a few housekeeping- such as our contract for working with each other. Then the rest of the session is yours to use as you wish.

What are some benefits to counselling?
