About me
Hello, I’m Lisa, an Integrative Counsellor offering a calm, confidential space where you can feel heard, understood, and less alone with what you’re going through. You might be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or not quite yourself — maybe used to coping on your own, or finding it hard to put into words what’s going on. Whatever brings you, you are welcome.
I work in a person-centred and relational way, which means our sessions are shaped around you — your experiences, your pace, and what feels most important. Together, we can gently make sense of your thoughts and feelings, helping you develop greater understanding and find a way forward that feels right for you.
I won’t offer quick fixes or tell you what to do, but I will walk alongside you with care, curiosity, and compassion as you explore what’s going on.
I offer face-to-face, online, and telephone counselling for adults (18+), and have experience supporting a wide range of concerns including anxiety, depression, family issues, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, life transitions, chronic illness, and bereavement.
Many of the people I work with are used to coping on their own, but reach a point where things start to feel harder to carry alone.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a qualified Therapeutic Counsellor (Level 4 Diploma) and a registered member of the BACP, working in line with their ethical framework.
I attend regular supervision and ongoing professional development to support safe, ethical, and effective practice.
Alongside my counselling work, I bring over 20 years’ experience in the wellbeing field, supporting people in a way that recognises the connection between emotional, physical, and inner wellbeing.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
