About me
I'm Linda from MindSpace NI, an integrative counsellor working with clients across Northern Ireland, in person from my practice in Portadown, or online and by phone if that suits you better.
I tailor therapy to you as an individual; there's no one-size-fits-all approach here. Drawing on person-centred, CBT, psychodynamic and currently exploring somatic (body-based) work, I move between approaches depending on what's genuinely useful for you.
I work with a wide range of difficulties, including anxiety, excessive worry, low mood and depression, low self-esteem, work-related stress, bereavement and loss, relationship and family difficulties, and that feeling of being overwhelmed or stuck.
My path into this work began in 2021 with trauma and addiction training through WAVE, and since then I've built experience in roles with Cruse Bereavement Care, Women's Aid and Chrysalis Women's Centre, qualifying as a BACP counsellor in April 2025. Alongside my private practice, I'm also involved with Portadown Wellness Centre, a local mental health charity supporting people across the community; that grounding gives my practice real, front-line depth.
Whatever brings you to counselling, my aim stays the same: clarity, compassion, and an honest space to work things out at your own pace, with someone in your corner.
I'm happy to arrange an initial conversation to see if we're a good fit. You can reach me by email or via my website.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Additional information
If cost is a barrier to accessing support, I also work a local mental health charity offering subsidised counselling; feel free to get in touch to find out more about this option.
I understand that reaching out for support can feel like a big step, and I aim to make that first contact as easy and unpressured as possible.
Further information
As a BACP Registered Member, I work within their Ethical Framework, including maintaining regular clinical supervision and professional indemnity insurance.
