About me
Hi, my name is Linda Hayward, I am a qualified Integrative counsellor and a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP). I am passionate about people and I love what I do. I have gained my experience through my private practice based in Macclesfield and through working with local charities in the local area.
How can counselling help?
I believe that when we’re free of emotional and psychological problems, we are able to live our lives to the fullest and reach our potential, for a life without limits. By looking after our mental health, we naturally improve the quality of our life. Good mental health, strengthens and supports our ability to maintain good physical health, as well as helping us to have happy, healthy relationships and to make good life choices.
I can offer a warm, safe and professional counselling service to individuals who need someone to talk too. Together we can explore your issues confidentially without fear of judgment. I work with a wide range of issues including confidence, self-esteem, anxiety and depression, work related issues and exam pressures.
I offer daytime and evening appointments at competitive rates and student discounts.
What to expect in your first initial session?
Your first initial session is free to enable us to discuss your needs and how counselling may help. It will also allow me to answer any questions you may have and give you the opportunity to see whether you feel you would like us to continue working together. The pace and frequency of sessions are entirely up to you. There is no obligation to book a specified number of future sessions.
Please feel free to book your first free no-obligation initial session on 01625 568 750 or send an email here.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
