About me

Perhaps life feels overwhelming for you at the moment?

Maybe you are struggling to cope or engage with life in the way that you would like to?

Everyone's difficulties are unique to them, as your counsellor I am here to connect with your own path and support you in the journey this path has and is taking you. Together we can build the road ahead.

Whatever you feel you want to bring to our sessions, as your counsellor I will provide a safe and confidential place where you can express yourself freely and attain a deeper understanding of yourself and your difficulties. We will work entirely at your pace and with what you want to bring.

Having overcome difficult childhood experiences and supported loved ones through many severe mental health difficulties enables me to bring an extra level of warmth, empathy and understanding to our sessions.

Training, qualifications & experience

I place an emphasis on the therapeutic relationship in that I offer you a space where you can feel safe, valued and supported, which can help you to be more in touch with your thoughts and feelings, gain a better understanding of yourself and find healthier ways of thinking, feeling and behaving.

Currently, I am offering face to face sessions in Oxford, online sessions or telephone sessions.

I am registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and work according to their Ethical Framework

My training is in Person Centred Theory, Transactional Analysis Gestalt, and Expressive Arts.

I have trained with Oxfordshire Sexual Abuse And Rape Crisis (OSARCC) and trained and worked with Cruse Bereavement Care.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
